Dana Barrett, a Hawthorne employee, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on November 25, 2009. To help her with medical and routine expenses, her fellow co-workers have joined together to plan a night of fun and fundraising. Sponsor: First Baptist Church Maryville Location: 7110 State Route 162, Maryville, Illinois 62062 First Baptist Church Maryville (FBCM) has come a long way from the 36 member congregation on 209 East Main Street in Maryville, IL in 1945. Today the church’s regular attendance for Sunday morning services is approximately 1,500 and continues to grow! Needing additional space, FBCM has decided to expand their building by constructing a 3.3 million dollar addition off the west portion of the building, which will more than double the current Preschool/Children’s area as well as add a new indoor playground for the Preschool. The 40,269 sq. ft. addition will also include additional space for staff offices, Adult Sunday School classes, and a 300 seat Chapel. Additional parking will also be created. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
