    Job Description

    The Accounts Payable position is responsible for the timely and accurate process of the accounts payable life cycle. This role requires a commitment to TCI accounting policies and procedures to verify the accuracy of invoices, discounts, and payments for vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.

    This role is a 6 month contracted position. Exact dates of employment will be finalized upon hiring. 

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Execute all aspects of the accounts payable lifecycle accurately, thoroughly, and promptly to ensure compliance with company policies.
    • Understands applicable federal, state, and local laws and obtains necessary documentation for compliance, including income, sales, and use taxes.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and verify proper documentation, including purchase orders, packing slips, receiving reports, and resolving discrepancies with vendors, when necessary.
    • Process daily miscellaneous check requests.
    • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned in an organized, timely manner.

    • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting functions and principles using computer accounting and software systems
    • Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles, numerical aptitude, computer systems, and corporate operations with superior accuracy and attention-to-detail
    • Demonstrated MS Office competency, intermediate or advanced Excel experience
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate workflows in a timely manner to meet deadlines even with emergent changes and constraints
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work as a liaison with vendors or other constituents and represent the company favorably
    • Resourceful, collaborative team player with the ability to also thrive independently
