Manages and implements the quality management and quality improvement programs for a healthcare facility. Oversees quality assurance and compliance functions. Ensures programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and patients receive the highest level of care. Responsible for monitoring and updating policies and procedures to include regulatory changes. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. Requires a bachelor's degree, at least 5-7 years of experience, and is certified as a registered nurse. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Associates or better in Nursing.
Preferred Minimum three years in an acute care facility and demonstrated working knowledge of general hospital operations. Working knowledge of Quality Improvement principles. Must possess a positive working relationship with the Medical Staff, department leaders, and hospital staff throughout the facility. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and autonomously. Working knowledge of Medhost systems and MS Office. Encouraged to have a CPHQ certification
