Tri-Township Park District is looking for a Program Coordinator. Job duties will include but not limited to:
Assisting staff in planning, implementing, and overseeing recreation programs, events, day camp, skating rink, and services. Assisting with the preparation of seasonal program brochures, publicity materials, and social media. Assist with special events. Recruit, lead, and train instructors/counselors as necessary. Assist in the administration of recreation programs as assigned by the Office manager. Prepare program budgets. Establish positive relationships with community groups and agencies serving in the area. Work collaboratively with community groups, City officials, and agencies. Assist with sponsor solicitation and donations for programs. Manage all additional responsibilities relating to the specific facilities, programs and events assigned to the Program Coordinator and that may change from time-to-time as assignments are modified. All other duties as assigned.
Degree in Recreation and/or 2 years of full-time experience in the field. Must be available to work flexible hours with some evenings and weekends required. Ability to interface with adults, children, community leaders, City Officials, and staff. Demonstrate motivation, enthusiasm, organizational skills, and creativity. Proficient in Microsoft office and recreation registration software with the ability to learn new applications as necessary.
