Part-time Greenhouse Technician
ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the part-time, non-union position of Greenhouse Technician.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this is a technical support position requiring the employee to be available to work at times other than the normal schedule. This is responsible work in performing technical laboratory and related duties. Work involves responsibility for the performance of laboratory tasks, care of live plants, horticultural maintenance of the living lab area surrounding the greenhouse complex, and the care of greenhouse equipment and supplies. This position requires close coordination with the faculty and students in the horticulture program.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Horticulture Certificate
2. One year of experience in greenhouse or related horticultural work required.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
$15.00 per hour, up to 28 hours per week
WORK LOCATION
Belleville Campus
