    Wisper Internet is seeking a full-time non-exempt Underground Construction Foreman to join our Construction Department. This role will be responsible for leading a civil construction crew. This is a new team and this position will be instrumental in building and developing a collaborative group of construction professionals to expand our growing Network.Underground Construction ForemanSchedule: Mon - Fri Travel: 75% within our network- home weekendsTarget hire date: 4/19/21Essential Job Functions Build a culture of safety & consistently drive awarenessPrimary driver & equipment operator of crew, as well ashands-on support of other positions on crew as neededAbility to read & comprehend professional prints, CADdrawings &/or VisioResponsible for all aspects of utility locates according to municipal standards; familiarity with public & private easementsCentral point of contact on jobsitesUnderstand Statement Of Work & disseminate to crew as neededManage jobsite from start to finish while ensuring safety &efficiencyWork with local inspectors & quickly make field adjustments as neededEnsure all work is completed to company standards with proper restoration to all excavation areasKeep vehicles, equipment, & tools inventoried, maintained & in good working orderProvide updates to management on project progressOther duties as directedJob Requirements2+ years demonstrated experience in Telecom OSP construction &/or related industry2+ years demonstrated equipment operator experience(Mini excavator, Skid steer)Perform physical labor on job-sites (hand digging with shovels, picks,& rock bars etc)Ability to travel away from home for up to 1 week at a time Current valid Driver's License - CDL preferredOperate truck with trailer Ability to be added to Company auto-insurance policyRegular & predictable attendanceLegally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status,now or in the futureMust pass a background check, MVR & drug screenDesired Skills & CompetenciesOrganizational skillsLeadership skills to positively influence, collaborate with, communicate with, listen & understand peopleHigh energy, with a strong 'can-do' attitudeCommunicate effectively via phone, email, & message systemsWorking Conditions Fast-paced environment with multiple changes to schedules & fluctuating prioritiesWork is performed primarily outdoors, in all weather conditions, in close proximity to machinery & equipmentPhysical Requirements: Light: Lifting 0-10 lbs.
