    POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

    In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this faculty position involves the management of a multi-campus social services program to include compliance-based health and wellness assessments, education, and evaluation of programming.  This position requires dealing with confidential information and providing direct one-on-one appointments with students and potential students, assessment of needs, community agency networking and referrals, maintenance of case records, group work, coordination and writing of reports.  Responsibilities include district-wide prevention programming for students and the college at large.  Flexibility in working hours including evenings and occasional weekends and district-wide service are required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    1. Master’s Degree in Social Work or related specific field is required.
    2. Licensure LCSW or LCPC in Illinois within 2 years of employment is required.
    3. Three years of direct social work/prevention and education experience is required.  Higher education preferred.
    4. Complete a 40 hour domestic violence/sexual assault training.
    5. Knowledge of social service agencies is required.
    6. A valid driver’s license is required.
    7. Experience with report and survey writing is required.
    8. Grant writing experience preferred.
    9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
    10. Excellent written and oral communication skills to include program planning for diverse populations are required.

    SALARY:

    This is a nine-month position with the salary determined by placement on the base salary schedule.  For example, the minimum 2023-2024 starting salary at Step 1 on the Master’s Degree column is $51,976.  Voluntary academic year overload assignments and summer overload assignments may increase the annual compensation by 40%.  The College offers a comprehensive flexible benefit program.
