Structural Engineering Leader - Bridge Design
We are looking for a talented and experienced Professional Engineer to grow and lead our Structural Bridge team in Illinois. This position can be located in any of our Illinois office locations.Lochmueller Group is a growing firm that is involved in a variety of projects including roadways and bridges for various local public agencies and state DOT’s, miscellaneous structural design to support our other business units, and design-build pursuits.This is a great opportunity to join our growing company and be a part of leading our growth in the state. - Grow and manage the Structural team in our offices throughout the State
- Maintain current client relationships and continue to develop Lochmueller Group’s business in the state
- Initiate and maintain extensive contacts with key engineers and officials, or other organizations and companies
- Recommend facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out programs
- Develop standards and oversee the technical, legal, and financial issues of the department
- Lead and mentor junior-level engineers and other team members to aid in their development
- Serve as a project manager with responsibility for various LPA and/or DOT structural projects
- Serve as a technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods
- Apply knowledge acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions
Qualifications for this role:
-
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Licensed Structural Engineer (SE)
- 15+ years of experience in this discipline
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation of critical issues
- Experience with project management and accounting software
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Microstation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
