Mechanical Technician

Job Summary:  We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join a growing team. Duties include:

• Perform skilled preventative and predictive electrical/mechanical maintenance functions
• Read wiring and circuit diagrams
• Operates mobile equipment to move materials
• Required to enter complete and detailed Maintenance Work Requests and Safety Work Requests as well as Daily Downtime into EAM Program (Condition of employment when assigned to this position)
• Be familiar with JHA, JSA, and Environmental Management System
• 5/5/22Responsible for understanding and adhering to all environmental policies and procedures including spill response, general waste disposal and hazardous material handling procedures

Location: Granite City, IL
Position type: Full time, Evaluation Hire
Pay: $27/hr-$32.50/hr, BOE

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• 2 years of post-secondary education or on-the-job training in a related field
• 2-5 years of general maintenance/electrical experience
• Trained on NFPA70E, or ability to be trained at hire
