Passenger Rail Car Truck Repair / Rebuild Technician

Job Summary:  We are looking for a Passenger Rail Car Truck Repair / Rebuild Technician to join a growing team.  The Passenger Rail Car Truck Repair / Rebuild Technician should have the ability to:

• Inspect on site truck derailment damage, analyze, and determine the feasibility of repair/overhaul and cost estimate
• Perform non-destructive testing
• Perform truck component refurbishment
• Perform pre-heat preliminary work for major truck straightening and/or components
• Tram truck frame, pedestal legs in accordance with OEM and Amtrak SMPs
• Assist in heat treating/post heat treating; weld stress relieving process OEM/Amtrak SMPs
• Understand, perform and record Brinell readings pre and post heat treating

Location: Madison, IL
Position type: Full time, Evaluation Hire
Pay: Up to $25/hr BOE
Qualifications:

• Must have experience in 2 & 3 axle repair /rebuild to Amtrak SMP’s
