    Summary
    Responsible for cleaning patient rooms utilizing the seven-step method of cleaning, isolation areas in accordance with protocols and all other areas of the hospital per work schedules. Knowledgeable to perform laundry duties.

    Job Responsibilities:

    1.    Clean all patient rooms utilizing the seven-step method of cleaning.
    2.    Responsible for cleaning of mop buckets, maid’s cart, and any other equipment that may need to be cleaned.
    3.    Clean other hospital departments per cleaning schedule.
    4.    Clean isolation areas according to protocols.
    5.    Empty wastebaskets, and take trash to the dumpster.
    6.    Have the knowledge and ability to work in laundry and clinic, if needed.
    7.    Have the knowledge and ability to work any schedule in the Housekeeping Department.

    Qualifications

    Education Requirements and Other Requirements: High school graduate, some college preferred, but not required. 

    Education Level: High school 

    Certification/Licensure:. None

    Experience Requirements:  1 year of experience in institutional cleaning preferred, but not required.
