Computer Programmer

Job Summary:  We are looking for an EDI Programmer to join a growing team.  The EDI Programmer will develop and improve internal information systems.  Responsibilities will include identifying, researching, resolving, and responding to a high volume of EDI projects and support issues.

• Responsible for completing programming and process management tasks as they pertain to new and ongoing EDI/IT projects.
• Help prioritize assigned tasks based on project deadlines and project priority level.
• Manage multiple projects of varying scale concurrently
• Communicate updates with all stakeholders to ensure that all needs are being delivered.
• Analyze user needs as required; assist in the design of specifications to meet end user needs.
• Develop and modify software to meet the specifications outlined in data processing requests.
• Test and debug assigned projects; assist in testing projects for programming staff.
• Prepare documentation on new or existing software.
• Investigate initial support calls and call escalations from the support staff; make the necessary corrections to data and/or software.
• Follow departmental standards and guidelines as they pertain to design and development.
• Adheres to the goal of delivering and maintaining the highest quality of customer service

Position type: Full time, Evaluation Hire
Pay: $65,000/yr - $70,000/yr, BOE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• RPG on an IBM i (Power series)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Prior EDI experience preferred
• Cleo/ EXTOL EEI & Cleo CIC
• SQL
• FTP scripting and processing
