• Volunteer and Event Coordinator

    This is a full-time position located in our Fairview Heights, IL administrative offices. This position reports directly to the Director of Philanthropy and will have responsibility for event planning, volunteer management, and recruitment for the Development Team while providing excellent service and embracing our mission.

    1. Coordinates and manages fundraising and cultivation events. Including all timelines, planning, production, and on-site coordination.
    2. Administer and oversee the redesigned agency volunteer and intern program including but not limited to recruitment, screening, orientation, and training of volunteers and cultivation to better meet our mission at Hoyleton Youth and Family Services.
    3. Direct all supply drives, including the Hope for the Holidays and Back2School in a manner that improves results in a number of individuals impacted, efficiency and timeliness.
    4. Other duties as assigned to assist Development Department and to meet agency fundraising goals.


    1. Outgoing, creative, and goal-driven individual.
    2. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database management for fundraising, specifically Salesforce.
    3. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
    4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through effective goal setting, meeting deadlines, and using time efficiently.
    5. Must have an understanding of and capacity to work with individuals of diverse racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds;

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or Development.
    • Three years of related work experience; will consider a combination of education and experience.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Must possess and retain a valid driver's license
    • Must possess and retain the proof of vehicle insurance

    CARE & TCI

    One of the essential job functions of any position within the agency is to align your performance with our overarching philosophy of CARE. All decisions, actions, communication, and performance should align with the six CARE principles (Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship-Based, Ecologically Oriented, Competence Centered, and Trauma-Informed). Not only must you complete the CARE training with satisfactory participation, but you must then put that training into practice in your everyday work.

    Every employee must also pass TCI training with a satisfactory grade in written and/or physical testing. All employees must remain current on refresher training that is provided monthly at all locations. You will be tested every 6 months on the physical portion, if applicable to your position. You will be tested annually on the written portion regardless of your position. If you are not current on your TCI refresher training every six months, you will be required to retake the full course. If you do not pass either test, you may be required to retake the full course. Not only must you complete the TCI training with satisfactory participation, but you must then put that training into practice in your everyday work.
