    Tower Tech Tier 2
    Wisper is seeking a full-time non-exempt Tower Technician Tier 2 to join our Network Infrastructure Team. Responsibilities for this role include numerous manual labor tasks involved with the installation, service, maintenance, and decommission of wireless internet service tower equipment throughout our network. In this position, the Tower Tech Tier 2 will often serve as the lead on jobs and must ensure that all team members adhere to Wisper's safety and operating standards.

    Pay Scale: $21-$28/hour, based on experience

    Hours: M-F 8a-4:30p on call evenings and weekends and work some holidays as needed **This position may require off-duty hours to be performed as needed by the department, as well as travel within the network.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Climb towers up to 1000ft
    • Install/maintain wireless Internet equipment & camera systems
    • Mount Internet equipment & relay data cables to each device
    • Install battery backups & grounding systems for equipment
    • Prepare equipment for installation
    • Follow training protocols & conduct safety briefings
    • Configuration of approved devices as directed
    • Database & documentation updates as needed
    • Perform on-site analysis & determine potential for new tower site locations as needed
    • Coordinate on-site roles for the job when serving as Team Lead
    • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule & work after normal business hours & weekends as needed
    • Other duties as directed
