TROY, IL – The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its highly successful Business Builder Series: Presenting, Networking & Leading with Impact Workshop at the Tri-Township Public Library, bringing together business professionals, community leaders, and entrepreneurs for an engaging two-hour learning experience.
The interactive workshop focused on three essential professional development areas: presenting with confidence, building meaningful business relationships through networking, and facilitating productive meetings that drive team growth and results.
Unlike traditional seminar-style events, participants rotated through small-group sessions led by experienced local professionals, allowing attendees to practice skills, ask questions, and receive real-world advice they could immediately apply in their workplaces and organizations.
Featured presenters included Andrew Ambrose, Lisa Phillipson, Tracy Bianco, Wendy Symer, Jeff Koziatek, and Dallas Amsden, who shared practical strategies and personal experiences to help participants strengthen their communication and leadership abilities.
“The event was very well attended and everyone was able to take away many great tips from the two-hour event,” said Dawn Mushill, President/CEO of the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce. “Our goal was to provide hands-on learning that would help people become more confident presenters, stronger networkers, and more effective leaders. The feedback we received shows that attendees found tremendous value in the experience.”
Participants left with actionable tools to:
• Increase confidence in professional settings
• Improve networking and relationship-building skills
• Enhance presentations to clients, leadership teams, and boards
• Facilitate more productive meetings and team discussions
• Create greater impact through effective communication
The workshop is part of the Chamber’s ongoing Business Builder Series, designed to provide affordable, high-quality professional development opportunities for area businesses and their employees.
The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce extends its appreciation to the presenters, attendees, and Tri-Township Public Library for helping make the event a success.
