Structural Engineering Technician

TWM is seeking an entry-level Technician to support our Structural Engineering group.  We are looking for driven individuals skilled in Revit, MicroStation, and other drafting applications, who are interested in working alongside Structural Engineers and Designers to prepare plans for bridge and building projects, to assist with inspections and data collection, and to assist with general technical tasks.

 Experience Level:  Entry level

 Schedule:  Full-time, 40 hours/week, with the possibility of overtime

Salary: $21.00-$28.00/hr.

Location:  Based in Swansea or Columbia, Illinois or Columbia, MO

Essential Job Functions:

• Drafting and layout of bridges and other structures under the guidance of licensed Structural Engineers
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates
• Work with engineers of all experience levels to produce innovative and high-quality solutions
• Assist with site/field inspections and other general technical tasks

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. High school graduates must possess working knowledge of drafting standards via high school curriculum.  Associate of Science degree in CAD Drafting or a related field is a plus.
• Ability and experience with CAD (Revit and MicroStation) and spreadsheets (Excel)
• Team-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently and within a team
• Willingness to work hard.
• Attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license
