Troy Celebrates National Night Out with Family Fun, Community Connection, and First Responders
Troy, IL – Mark your calendars for a fun-filled evening as the Troy Police Department, the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce, and local partners proudly host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tri-Township Park Pavilion #10 (near the football fields).
This community-focused event is part of the nationwide initiative to strengthen police-community partnerships and promote neighborhood camaraderie.
The evening will kick off with a Touch-A-Truck experience, where children and families can get up close to vehicles from the Troy Police Department, Fire Protection District, Madison County Sheriff, and more — including a street sweeper, tractors, race cars, tow trucks, and a Republic Services trash truck. A special highlight includes an Air Evac Helicopter landing at 6:15 PM.
Special guest highlights include:
• Illinois State Police K-9 Demonstration at 7:00 PM
• Photo Ops with Troy Police Officers and Miss Capital City Landry Shine

Families can enjoy free face painting and balloon animals from 6:00 PM–7:00 PM, followed by a lively Bubble Party starting at 7:00 PM.
Other activities include:
• Bounce Houses
• Food Trucks
• Free Frozen Treats for Kids
• Giveaways from Community Partners
“We are excited to bring together our community, first responders, and local organizations for a night of fun and connection,” said Dawn Mushill, President/CEO of the Chamber. “National Night Out is more than an event — it’s a celebration of the partnership that keeps our community strong and safe.”
