  • GriefShare Program - A Path to Healing Offered at Evangelical United Church of Christ

We extend a warm invitation to community members who have experienced the loss of a loved one to join our GriefShare program at the Evangelical United Church of Christ. This ecumenical program offers a Christ-centered, biblically grounded approach to navigating the complex journey of grief. Our seminars feature insights from nationally recognized grief experts and testimonials from individuals who have walked this path, followed by intimate group discussions.

It’s often the case that the true work of healing begins when our loved ones return to their daily routines. Our past participants have found great value in the information shared and the discussions that follow.
Whether your loss is recent or occurred some time ago, you will find solace, support, and practical help in grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, sibling, other family member, or friend. Regardless of the circumstances of your loved one’s passing, this program offers a safe space to connect with others who truly understand your feelings. You will learn to identify signs of unresolved grief and discover that you need not be held captive by certain emotions. You will gain valuable insights on adjusting to your new reality and restoring hope for the future. We also provide grief-related books and materials for participants.

GriefShare Fall Session Commences September 22.
We are pleased to announce that the GriefShare program will resume at EvUCC starting Monday, September 22, from 6-8pm. The group will convene weekly at the Parsonage located at 2520 Poplar Street. This 13-week session includes an additional meeting in November titled “Surviving the Holidays”. To register, please contact the church office at 618-654-7549. We kindly request a $10 registration fee, if possible, to offset the cost of workbooks. We look forward to welcoming you.
