    Job Title: Senior Universal Banker

    Status: Full Time

    Location: Collinsville, IL

    Salary: $22.00 - $28.00 hourly

     

    Job Overview
    We are a small, community-focused financial institution looking for a highly motivated self-starter. The ideal candidate is disciplined, yet outgoing, and strives to provide exceptional customer service. The Senior Universal Banker performs all Teller and Deposit Servicing functions for Collinsville Building & Loan with high accuracy. The Senior Universal Banker will be familiar with CB&L products and services and will recognize opportunities to recommend those products and services to customers and non-customers alike.

    Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    · Opening, closing, and servicing retail and small business deposit accounts, including complex Trust, Estate, and IRA transactions.

    · Strong knowledge of products and services to refer account options; leading by example to identify and capitalize on those opportunities to enhance customer relationships.

    · Processing teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments as needed.

    · Ensuring cash drawers and vault have balanced at end of shift as needed.

    · Vault responsibilities as needed.

    · Assisting customers with digital banking and account management tools, such as debit cards.

    · Staying current on assigned training, regulation, corporate policies and utilizing such to keep procedures current.

    · Ensuring BSA compliance, including but not limited to AML, CIP, OFAC, completing currency transaction reports (CTRs), and identifying and reporting suspicious activity.

    · Assist with training and development of universal bankers and/or tellers.

    · Maintaining flexibility in schedule to accommodate branch staffing needs, including branch opening and closing duties.

    · Utilize critical thinking skills to resolve customer issues, while recognizing when to escalate.

    · Support community involvement and participate in bank-sponsored events.

    · Performing other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    · Strong fundamental math skills

    · Thorough understanding and demonstration of strong customer service skills

    · Retail Banking experience, two years minimum

    · Cash-handling experience, one year minimum

    · Applicants with Marketing or IT experience highly desired

    · Computer and network navigation skills (including Microsoft Office Suite); experience with Excel a plus

    · College degree in Business or Finance preferred. (High School diploma or equivalent considered with experience)

    Wages: Pay for this position ranges from $22.00-28.00 per hour depending on experience brought by candidate

    · Subsequent wage consideration in conjunction with Department of Labor rulings and during annual compensation review each year

    NOTE: Benefits are subject to Board approval each calendar year.

    General Schedule:

    · This is a full-time hourly position.

    · Average work week of 37 hours Monday through Saturday. You will generally have a full day off during the week.

    · Required attendance of monthly department and staff meetings (generally Fridays at 8:00 a.m.)

    · This position is not remote-work eligible.

    Physical Requirements:

    · Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
